11/30/2008 |  Instructions for the hardcopy submission

As it was announced that Eid Al Adha holiday is Sunday, 7th December to Thursday 11th December, we have updated our dates of hard copy collections to be on the 4th of December, we also updated the communication telephone number to 4548056, QNRF proposal submission system has been updated so any LPI can now download their uploaded documents for printing through going to “Proposal Status” then “View Proposal” where they can review and print the whole proposal, they can also download. It is advisable to print the proposal after vetting. Please find below our updated communication with the changes highlighted in yellow.

03/12/2008 |  A meeting of minds - Qatar National Research Fund presents awards to 47 researchers

Doha, 12th March 2008 - A significant contribution to Qatar’s national research vision was reached today when Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a Qatar Foundation center, signed agreements with representative institutions for the implementation of grants under the National Priorities Research Program (NPRP).

Doha, 4th December 2007- Recipients of the inaugural awards from the NPRP have been notified of their success today. Administered by the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), a member of Qatar Foundation, the $25 million is spread over 3 years, with $10 million being awarded in the first year.

QATAR Foundation’s Qatar National Research Fund has recorded a 220% increase in the number of letters of interest, 748, received for the second cycle of its National Priorities Research Programme over that of last year

SAMPLE some numbers – 341 letters of intent, 206 proposals, 175 proposals passing the screening process, 47 projects funded, after 635 peer reviewers review the proposals. These numbers, by themselves, denote nothing if not put in the context of the fact that these have been the outcome of the first cycle of the National Priorities Research Programme (NPRP), the flagship grant-funding programme under the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF).
